This month, we added nine new Stephen Ministers commissioned into Zion's ministry of caring. Stephen Ministers are not counselors or therapists; rather, they are caring Christian friends who can offer a listening ear to help others through the tough times in life. Stephen Ministers are trained and supervised in their ministry. If you are going through a tough time and could use a caring friend, please, speak to one of the pastors or drop your name and phone number in the referral box on the Communications Center and a Stephen Leader will contact you.

A SECOND CHANCE is something we all appreciate, and Zion's Women in Mission have one for you! We have many lovely crafts left from the Bazaar which was held in October. We will have them for sale at all services on December 6th and 7th. They will be displayed in the Fellowship Hall. Please stop by to find a gift for a loved one or something you might enjoy for your own use! Proceeds help to fund our mission projects. Remaining items will be available at the December 8th Women in Mission's Potluck Dinner as well.
The 2009 Contribution Envelopes will be out in the Narthex starting December 7th. Please pick up your labeled box. Using your assigned envelopes is very helpful in getting your contributions recorded correctly. Also, it helps the counters and financial secretary, Janet Austin, do their jobs fore efficiently. If you do not find an envelope box with your name on it, please ask for one in the church office or leave a note in the offering plate. All contributions for 2008 must be given by December 31st. This makes it possible to print the yearly contribution statements and have them in the mailboxes as early as possible. Please make special note of this request and have all of your contributions in by December 31.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who donated food for the Sunday School food drive. We were blessed with a generous amount of food for those less fortunate in our community. Your donations were greatly appreciated. What a way to Honor Jesus by Serving Others.
