Children's Sunday School
Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM during Family Bible Study Hour
Zion offers Sunday School classes for children in Preschool through 12th grades.
All the children meet together in the Sunday School basement area for an
opening presentation of the lesson, a song or two, and prayer. After
opening, each of the class grades, accompanied by a volunteer adult shepherd,
attends one of the below workshops, a different workshop each week.
- For the little ones three years and under we have Sunday School Hour Nursery
so Mom and Dad, Big Sister and Brother can attend their own classes. The nursery is staffed by
adult volunteers on a rotational basis.
- PreSchool and Kindergarten classes study Our Life In Chris Bible Curriculum.
- 1st through 6th grades share the excitement of Zion's Sunday School Sonsation Workshops.
Each lesson is broken down into six different presentation and participation workshops:
- Tabernacle, where the lesson and story is presented using various
hands-on methods such as felt boards or hand puppets.
- Creation Station, where the lesson and story is used to initiate a
crafts' project.
- Son Center, held in the kitchen, presents the story and lesson
using food as the medium.
- Bibleland.com presents the story and lesson through different computer media.
- Son Theater allows the children to become part of the story through skits and plays.
- Biblebuster Videos presents the lesson and story through video and discussion.
- Middle School Students, grades 7-8, and Senior High Students,
in grades 9-12 attend their own Youth Bible Classes
