Athletics at Zion Lutheran School

The purpose of Zion's athletic program is to develop and promote growth physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Instruction is provided in the basic skills and techniques of each particular game.  Zion coaches seek to provide a setting for promoting Christian attitudes about teamwork, leadership, competition, sportsmanship, cooperation, and sacrifice.  The coaches also seek to instill in all of the athletes a feeling of self-worth.

Zion's athletic program provides ...

• an opportunity to develop and growth physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
• an opportunity to teach the basic skills and techniques of each sport.
• an opportunity for the coach to promote Christian attitudes about teamwork, leadership, competition, sportsmanship, cooperation, and sacrifice.
• an opportunity for the coach to promote a feeling of self-worth in all of our athletes.

Zion's Current Sports include: ...

• Fall: Soccer (boys grades 6-8) and Volleyball (girls grades 5-8)
• Winter: Basketball (boys and girls grades 5-8)
• Spring: Field Day at Denver Lutheran High School for all students grades 1-8
